Hello sweet friends !
I wanted to share my spread for our 'Thanksgiving 2018' for eight people.
I used a pretty plaid throw I had for a long time and forgot about it and the colors are perfect for my transferware dishes. Actually I bought two throws from a friend to support a 'Hospice' for old and poor people.
I hope you like it too, as hubby loved the throw idea, maybe cause it's a bit masculine because of the plaid.
The important thing is to thank God for all the graces we have received this year..... in our case for the baby grandson that will be born around the 20th. of December, so we will all go to spend Christmas at Miami where our daughter will be delivering; along with the entire family and even infant boy Lorenzo, as I hope he is born a bit before Christmas, since daughter Sofia gives birth naturally, who knows !
I wish all of you and your families a wonderful and "Happy Thanksgiving" coming up and many blessings.
I baked this 'Walnut Carrot Cake' for my mother, who is having a Bible reading at her home with her friends. For Thanksgiving, I like Pumpkin Pie. |
This adorable chick and roos, terracotta napkin holders were hand made at our past Ceramic Co. |
The central part of the table was set with this pretty soup bowl, a made in 'Finland transferware.' |
This beautiful dinner plate is 'Enoch-Wedgwood' too. "Asiatic Pheasants" is the pattern. |
In this place I used 'Liberty Blue, Staffordshire.'
My beloved silver 'faul-cover' was one of my Christmas gifts from Mr. Living many years ago and it's just the perfect thing for Thanksgiving turkey celeb. |
I'm so happy I found the plaid throw in the linen closet; I must've bought it around three years ago to help out an old poor people's "Hospice" home. Actually I bought two and gave away one. |
The stemware is Mexican hand blown. |
